Chuck started climbing in 2002 and joined the Mazamas in 2003. Since then he has climbed numerous peaks in the Pacific Northwest as well as two international trips to climb Pico de Orizaba in Mexico and Mount Elbrus in Russia. He is currently on a year long sabbatical from his professional life as a software engineer so he can travel and climb more often. Chuck was recently married to Kerry Slinkard at Timberline Lodge on Mount Hood.
